Abstract

The project titled “LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM”

is designed using Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2003 as front end and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as back end which works in .Net framework version 1.1. The coding language used is VB .Net.

The project “LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” is designed for the purpose of convenient use for proper transactions. The Liberian can control all the function in the library.

The administrator can set the fine amount for the students and days limit for the students and staffs. The students and staff can check the availability of the books by author id wise or book name wise. The students can take the books and returned the books it all stored in the librarian database automatically.

The administrator can add the new books, new authors and publication wise details in the data base. The report can view by the administrator only. The administrator can view the total number of books, authors, issue date and returned date details.
