ABSTRACT

                   Thief Detection is not nearly as expensive or difficult to acquire as it used to be. A new trend in Thief Detection is driving down the price even further. Now we can transform our webcam and personal computer into a fully functioning Thief Detection system simply by configuring the Motion Detection Software.

                   Thief Detection is motion detection software that monitors our home, office, or any premise. The system records action triggered by motion or noise as it happens. We can view activities monitored by our camera from anywhere with an Internet connection.

                   The system will send immediate email notification along with a photo directly in our mailbox as soon as motion is detected. we can customize alerts like video recording, taking snaps with date and time, etc. Automatically upload recorded video and snaps to a FTP server of our choice.

Existing System

                   The general theft control system there is no immediate processing it is does not maintain history of the theft details. Whenever it is process the picture very difficult to compare.

Proposed System

                   In the proposed Thief Detection is motion detection software. The system records action triggered by motion or noise as it happens. we can view activities monitored by our camera from anywhere with an Internet connection thief detector system will send immediate email notification along with a photo directly in our mailbox as soon as motion is detected.

Thief Detection has three main principles they are

          Ø  CAPTURING IMAGES

          Ø  COMPARING IMAGES

          Ø  SENDING EMAILS AND SMS

CAPTURING IMAGES

                   A computer with Thief Detection system software it captures a frame using a web cam in a regular time interval using WIN API.

COMPARING IMAGES:

                   The best one for motion detection application is assume that  we have an original image called current frame (image) a gray scale copy of it (current frame) and previous video frame also a gray scaled (background frame). By comparing the current frame and the background frame and if it finds any difference between the current frame and background frame then the system will send immediate email notification with a photo directly to mailbox

SENDING EMAILS AND SMS:

                   After the comparison of the current frame and the background frame if the difference is found in it then it will send a mail by using the Simple Message Transfer Protocol. We can retrieve the mails periodically by using Internet message protocol.
